Bobby Fanguy

Bobby Joseph Fanguy, 79, passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family at 6:20pm, Thursday, May 13, 2021.  Bobby was a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time.  A Liturgy of the Word will follow visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will take place after services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years; Judith Smith Fanguy; children, Trudy Fanguy Thompson and husband Kevin, Sonia Fanguy Clarke and husband Dr. Rob Clarke; brother, Michael Fanguy and wife Brenda; sister, Barbara Pellegrin; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Foret, Blake Foret; sister and brother-in-law, Paula Smith and Rusty Smith.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Celestine and Walterine Neil Fanguy; brother-in-law, Silas Pellegrin. 

Bobby was a hard worker and dedicated his life to providing for his family. Bobby contributed to his community in many roles and functions quietly in the background of many endeavors through his life.

Bobby was loved and will be truly missed by all the lives he touched throughout his lifetime.  

The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice, The Sweets of Sugar Point of Houma for going above and beyond their care given to Bobby and family in their time of need.
