Bobby Allen Foret

Bobby Allen Foret, age 59, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 14, 2021. He was a native of Houma and a resident of Raceland, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma on Sunday, March 21, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  On Monday, March 22, 2021 a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Nativity Church in Raceland with burial following in the church cemetery.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wendy Folse Foret; sons, Bobby Allen Foret, II (Crystal), and Kerry James Cortez (Mallory); grandchildren, Jessi Louella, Van Michael, Madelyn Renee, and Kirsten Leigh; father-in-law, Gatewood "Pott" Folse.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence “L.J.” Foret and Beverly “Maw B” Babin Foret; brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Foret; mother-in-law, Earline Folse.

Bobby was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Church. He was employed by Magnum Mud Equipment Co. for 27 years. Bobby was a member of the “Westbank Musicians Hall of Fame”. He was the heart of the "Down Home" band along with his wife, Wendy and son, Lil Bobby.  Bobby enjoyed playing music, entertaining, vacationing, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy.  Bobby was always the life of the party, entertaining family and friends and will always be remembered as such. He touched the lives of so many with his charismatic personality.  Bobby will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
