Beverly Jackson Freeman, 83, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at 12:32PM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin after visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Tuesday beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Larry “Peg” Freeman Sr.; her beloved children, Larry Freeman Jr., Carla Jane Freeman and companion Chris Wells, Tamela “Tammy” Freeman, Jenny F. Grasso, Thomas Freeman Sr. and wife Connie; grandchildren, Angie Freeman, Brittney Lottinger, Gretchen Moore, Jenny Moore, Chrissie Moore, Ashley Lottinger, Philip “Doobie” Lottinger Jr. and wife Joni, Charles “C.J.” Grasso III, Thomas “T.J.” Freeman Jr., Kimberly Grasso, and Even Freeman; eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one on the way; brothers, Earl “Sonny” Jackson and wife Judy, Neal Jackson and wife Ann, and Darrell Jackson Sr., and wife Roxanne; brother-in-law, Arlen Guidry; sisters, Arleta “Eta” Guidry and late husband Lee, Norma Loker and late husband Wamsley Loker, Cherylyn “Putt” Marchive and husband Sterling, and Janie Guidry and husband Jack. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl H. Jackson Sr., and Lena Granger Jackson; brother, Warren Carroll Jackson; sisters, Earline “Nutsie” Dove and husband Bill, and Linda Guidry and son-in-law, Chris Moore. Beverly was a devoted Catholic and Parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Larry “Peg” and Beverly were the owners of Peg’s Food Mart. She enjoyed fishing and going to their camp. Beverly was a devoted, caring, loving wife to her husband and devoted mother to all of her children, family and friends and has touched many people in her life. She gave all her time and love. She never sent a family or friend away hungry. Beverly was a humble person who never had a cross word or complaint who always looked for the silver lining in any situation. Beverly bore her diagnosis with cancer like a hero and was one of a kind. Beverly was loved by all who knew and met her and she will be sadly missed; but never forgotten.
