Basil "Zoo" Lee Magee

Basil  “Zoo” Lee Magee, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. He was a longtime resident of Bayou Dularge, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, September 17, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Eloi Cemetery.

Basil is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Charmaine Christen Magee; daughters, Kandace M. Ordoyne and Kristen M. Autin and husband, Nick; grandchildren, Emaleah, Alyssa, Aydan, Reese, and Annalise; former son-in-law Travis Ordoyne; brother, Michael Magee; sisters, Patrice Theriot and Shelia Neel; and mother-in-law, Rose Christen.

Basil was preceded in death by his parents, Carl C. Magee and Sybil C. Magee; brother, Carl Dennis Magee; and father-in-law John “Pete” Christen.

Basil was a loving husband, father, and Papa. He enjoyed drawing, riding on the golf cart with his dog Copper, boat riding to the camp, and riding his Harley Davidson with friends.
