Barbara Ellender

Barbara Ann Ellender, age 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Annunziata Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Barbara is survived by her son, Mark A. Ellender and wife, Rosalie Thibodaux Ellender; daughter, Myra E. Pitre; brothers, Kenneth, Pat, and C.J. Breaux; sisters, Carolyn Trosclair Sharon Trahan, Tammy Chauvin, Pam Moore, and Connie Breaux; grandchildren, Justin, Hunter, Spencer, Miranda, and Blaine.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Joseph "Billy Goat" Ellender; parents, Clifford Joseph and Vivian Marie Samanie Breaux.

Barbara was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be dearly missed by all whose hearts she touched. The family would like to gave a big thanks to Heart of Hospice and her special caregivers Sue and Patrice for all of the support and care in her final days.
