Audry Mae Keen, a native and resident of Houma, age 93, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2024.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation in her honor on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral from 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial to immediately follow in church cemetery.
She is survived, by her three children, Georgette Keen Millet, and husband Frank of Houma, Sara Keen Kelpsch and husband Edmund of Houma, and Albert Keen and wife Nina Boudreaux Keen of Houma; six grandchildren, Michael Millet, Amanda Millet Melancon, Jon Kelpsch, Cele Kelpsch Schulz, Andrew Keen and Nia Keen Falgout; step grandson Shea Musso; and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, George G. Keen, Jr.; parents, Albert and Agnes Doiron; sister, Helen Doiron; and half-sister, Inez Doiron Jolet.
She was a graduate of Terrebonne High School in 1949. She was a devout catholic and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Dioceses, she served as a founding member of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church.
The years she worked as a clerk at DuPont's and JC Penny's on Main Street will be remembered by many.
