Anna Evangelista

Anna Mae Evangelista, age 87, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, March 25, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until her Reflection of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

Anna is survived by her children, Karen Evangelista, Peggy Evangelista, and Troy Evangelista; grandchildren, Thomas Solet, Jeremy Solet, Troy “Junior” Evangelista; great-grandchildren, Devon, Olivia, Gavin, Cameron, Morgan, and Erin Solet. She was also survived by her loving puppy, Lady Evangelista.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alvin Evangelista; parents, John and Bernice Verdin; sisters, Alice Parfait, Gladys Frederick, Alexina Rennick, Rose Gautreaux, Pearlie Francis, and Elsie Verdin; brothers, Oris, Andrew, Elgin and Irvin Verdin.

Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly, she also loved cooking for her family. Everyone knew her as “grandma”. In her younger days, she enjoyed tending to her garden. She is now reunited with her husband and rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
