Angelina Cangelosi Glorioso Wales

Angelina Cangelosi Glorioso Wales, 100, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at  10:30AM.  She was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Houma, LA from 9:00AM until service time.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Wednesday after visitation beginning at 11:00AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Burial will follow services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Angelina is survived by her son Jim Glorioso and wife Carole, and Sam Glorioso wife Leoma; grandchildren, Cynthia Glorioso Martin and husband Dave, Angela Glorioso Sonnier and husband Erich, Lynda Glorioso, and Stacy Glorioso Combs; great grandchildren, Jessy Martin, Abe Martin, Madison Sonnier, Morgan Sonnier, Angela Combs, and Alyssia Combs, three great-great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Angelina is preceded in death by her first husband, Giuseppe Glorioso and second husband Edward Wales; parents, Salvatore Cangelosi and Tecla Storiale Cangelosi; brothers, Francesco Cangelosi, Antonio Cangelosi, and Natale Cangelosi; sisters, Rosa Cangelosi DiMarco, Concetta Cangelosi Tamburo, and Josie Cangelosi Notariano.

Angelina was a member of the Legion of Mary, an Eucharistic Minister, and part of the St. Joseph Italian Society. She worked as a Nurse Assistant at Ochsner.

She loved to garden, baking Italian cookies, and playing bingo games at Shady Acres.

Although Angelina was born in Baton Rouge, LA, her parents returned to Italy when she was three years old. She grew up, was married and had her two sons in Italy.  She returned to America at the age of thirty-five. Angelina was a hard worker and a devoted mother and a friend to everyone.
