Amos Pierre Hebert, age 87, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 6:40 pm. He was a native and resident of Chauvin.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, September 27, 2018 beginning at 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a funeral service at 7:00 pm.
Amos is survived by his daughters, Paula H. Dardar and husband, Percy III, and Stacey Hebert; brothers, Reis Hebert and wife, Melva, and Wallace Hebert; sister, Clara Ann Neil; sisters-in-law, Nettie Hebert and Elaine Hebert; grandchildren, Jared Trahan, Brett Hebert and companion, Victoria, Cammey Domangue and husband, Josh, and Lanie Callahan and companion, Jeremy Dardar; great-grandchildren, Alex and Ava Trahan, Jayden and Kenslee Domangue, Esmay, and Jonah, Ezra and Asher Dardar.
Amos is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Letty Ann Blanchard Hebert; parents, Henry Louis Sr. and Juliane Marie Duplantis Hebert; brothers, Walter, Morris, William, Charles Ray, Ivy (Agnes), Russell "CoCo" (Eula), Henry "Picky (Nelda) Jr., Junius "Bud", Peter, and Aaron (Florence)Hebert; sisters, Frances Hebert, and Lois (Miller) Crochet; brother-in-law, Roosevelt “Kie” Neil.
Amos served in the US Marines. He was a member of the American legion and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the neighborhood pigeons. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to TGMC Staff and Dr. Jules Dupont.
