Amelia Breaux

Amelia LeCompte Breaux ,65, passed away on December 5, 2017. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Annunziata Catholic Church in Houma, LA beginning at 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin after visitation on Saturday at Annunziata Church at 11:00AM with burial to follow services in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma, LA. Amelia is survived by her loving Husband fo forty-four years, Kenneth Paul Breaux; daughter, Kristy Breaux Jackson; and son, Keith Breaux and wife Kristy Authement Breaux; Brother, Joel LeCompte and wife Deborah; Granddaughter, Gracie Elizabeth Breaux; Grandson and Cooper Evan Breaux and life-long best friend, Jan Robichaux. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie LeCompte and Amelia Buquet LeCompte; infant, Baby Boy; Son-in-Law, Jason Paul Jackson. Amelia was retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board; dedicated 20 years of service to Terrebonne Parish. Amelia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who adored her two grandchildren. Amelia was an organ donor; who through her life saving gift will benefit many people who SHE has given a chance to live. She will be missed by many, love by all and never forgotten. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses for all their love and support they gave to Amelia and family during her fourteen month battle.
