Alice “Sue” Brown, age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Sue was a native of Longview, Texas and a resident of Houma, Louisiana.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, October 21, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth “Jap” Lirette; children, Kenny Thibodeaux, Bobby Rembert and wife Misty, Kristy Rembert, Catherine O’Reilly; grandchildren, Holden Kroenke, Chelsea Thibodeaux, Hillary Stewart and husband Blayne Stewart, Mikaele Bown, Lola and Layton Rembert, Cooper Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Camden Bergeron, Charlotte and Juliette Stewart; siblings, Barbara Myers and husband Rob, Becky Bonds.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, William David Brown and Jean Patton Brown; infant son, Timothy Rembert; sister, Terry Adams; nephew, Danny Lee Smith.
Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved them dearly, adored her husband, and enjoyed spoiling and letting Jap go Bass fishing. Sue was always the life of the party. Anyone who knew her, knew her smiled radiated when she was in a crowd of people. She loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Sue loved shopping and had an outstanding wardrobe, loved her “bling”, and enjoyed community outreach. She was young at heart, enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, and cooking. Sue leaves this world behind to be reunited with her loved ones that passed before her. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
