Alex Joseph “Pechon” LeBeouf, 85, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was a native of Grand Caillou, LA and resident of Montegut, LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and Friday, November 2, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac, LA from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM with burial following in the church cemetery.
Alex is survived by his children, Milton Almaraz, Jeannie A. Ward, John J. Almaraz Sr., Alexandria L. Bates, Patricia A. LeBeouf, and Casandra L. Wallace; sisters, Vernel Liner and Mona Callahan, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Alex is preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Swansey LeBeouf; parents, Thomas Luke LeBeouf Sr. and Adeline Buquet LeBeouf; children, Randell B. Almaraz, Theresa A. LeBeouf; grandchild, John J. Almaraz Jr.; brothers, Derden R. LeBeouf, Robert LeBeouf Sr., Thomas LeBeouf Jr., and Ray LeBeouf; sisters, August Hebert , Kate Marcel, Nell Scott, Betty LeBeouf.
Alex was a hard working fisherman and shrimper who provided for his family. He was the world’s best cook and always told people to “eat what you want and don’t be ashamed, it’s free, Blue.” He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather who had a good sense of humor. He loved to tell jokes, drink his beer and smoke his cigars. He rescently lost the love of his life, Peggy, and they are now united together forever in Heaven.
Alex will always be remembered and loved by all who knew him.
