Albert "Nupee" Lyons, Sr.

March 13, 1935 — January 7, 2019

Albert “Nupee” John Lyons, Sr. age 83 passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was a native and resident of Chauvin, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, January 11, 2019 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Albert is survived by his children, Ronnie J. Lyons, Kenneth P. (Tina) Lyons, Cathy L. (Barry) Authement, Chad M. (Melissa) Lyons, Albert "AL" (Pam) Lyons, Jr.; grandchildren, Bronson (Julie) Authement, Ashley (Rusty) Hebert, Nick (Robin) Lyons, Myles (Brooke) Lyons, Lynsie (Jeff) Dupre, Cody (Madison) Lyons, Harli (Dylan) Lyons, Dakota Lyons, and Jace Lyons; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Gabe Authement, Claire and Landon Lyons, Blaikley and Jude Lyons, Brodie, Laynie, and Hallie Dupre, Colby, Liam, and Wyatt Hebert, and Colt Lyons; brothers, Sidney “T-Boy”, Russell (Linda) and Walter (Peanut) Lyons; brothers-in-law, Wilsey “T-June” (Betty) Dupre Jr., and Andy (Maria) Dupre; sister-in-law, Anna Dupre.

Albert is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Josephine Lyons; parents, Vanis and Beulah Guidry Lyons; brothers, Willie “Bill” (Mildred and Gertie), Lawrence and Wilbur (Ruth) Lyons; sisters, Emily “Tut” (Alvin) Naquin, Delores “Sue” (Albert) Ledet, and Beverly (Norbert) Domangue; in-laws, Wilsey Sr. and Flossie Dupre; brothers-in-law, Nolan Dupre, and Roland (Dorothy) Blanchard ; sister-in-law, Bertha Lyons.
Nupee was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all family and friends. He enjoyed being at the camp fishing and having his family over every Friday night. He was a boat captain, cook in the oilfield, part owner of Lyons Brother's Shipyard, and owner of Albert J. Lyons Boat Rentals. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the Little Caillou Volunteer Fire Department.
