Vivian "Vee Vee" Margaret Boudreaux Voisin, 82, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Judge Glynn F. Voisin Sr. and wife, Paula Bush Voisin; one daughter-in-law, Donna Evans Voisin; one sister, Wilda Molaison; 10 grandchildren, Daniel W. "Tee" Voisin Jr. and wife, Sherry, Wendy Voisin Dugal and huband, Merrick "Tre", Nicole Voisin Cayton and husband, Stewart, Monique Voisin, Glynn F. Voisin Jr., Natalie Voisin, Patrick Voisin, Nicholas Bourgeois and wife, Miranda, Jason Bourgeois and wife, Candace, and Brody Bourgeois; and seven great-grandchildren, Paige Dugal, Allyson Voisin, Lauren Voisin, Gabrielle Dugal, Catherine Voisin, Stewart Cole Cayton and Caroline Bourgeois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eustis Joseph Voisin; her parents, Edescar Boudreaux and Elescia Champagne Boudreaux; one son, Daniel W. Voisin Sr.; one granddaughter, Pamela Jean Voisin; one brother, Irvin S. Boudreaux; and one sister, Wilma Voisin.
She was a homemaker who loved being around her family and friends and was a devout Catholic. She collected dolls and made doll clothes for many years, as well as gardening and loving to tend to her flowers. She loved tapping her foot to Cajun music at the Terrebonne Cajun Heritage Museum. Her home was always open to her family and friends to share a fresh pot of coffee and a warm hearty laugh.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Houma-Lou Doll Club, Doll Lovers Club and Cajun Music French Club.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
