Beatrice “Bea” Crochet Trahan, 88, a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Davis Trahan Jr. of Montegut and Darryl Guidry of Chauvin; one daughter, Merrill G. Lajaunie of Houma; two brothers, Junius Crochet and Ernest Crochet of Montegut; two sisters, Rosie Bourg of Montegut and Girdie Johnson of Houma; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harris Guidry; her second husband, Davis Trahan Sr.; her parents, James Crochet and Alexina Price Crochet; one grandson, Harris Guidry; four brothers, Henry, Wilcliff, Walter and Paul Crochet; and two sisters, Shirley Smith and Josephine Bourg.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.
