Le Don "L.D." Reynolds, 88, a native of Payne Springs, Texas, and resident of Houma, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Mulberry Baptist Church. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Don Barnes Reynolds and wife, Marion Mannings, of Spring, Texas; one daughter, Donna Reynolds Whited and husband, Stan, of Houma; one sister, Editha Cozette Dowing of Seogoville, Texas; four grandchildren, Allison Wahley of Austin, Texas, Ashley Vines of Richardson, Texas, Laren Hartley and Ryan Hartley of Baton Rouge; and seven great-grandchildren, Harrison Whaley, Hudson Whaley, Hayden Whaley, Holden Whaley of Austin, Kate Vines, Molly Vines of Richardson, Texas, and Noah Hartley of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Barnes Reynolds; and his parents, Elmer S. Reynolds and Lennie Thomas Boyette Reynolds.
He was a self-employed drilling consultant of 43 years prior to Shell Oil.
He was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church.
