Amelia Exposito Authement, 86, of Chauvin, died at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen, N.C., Monday, Jan. 8, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one son, retired Navy Capt. Charles F. Authement and wife, Diane Nagel Authement, of Pinehurst, N.C.; two grandchildren, Cynthia Authement of Shreveport and Joseph Authement of Spring Hill, Fla.; four step-grandchildren, Michael Pyle of Carmel, Ind., Denise Pyle Scorzetti of Spring Hill, Stephen Pyle of Round Hill, Va., and John Pyle of Litotz, Penn.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Armand Authement; her parents, Joseph Exposito and Aurelia Avet Exposito; three brothers, Philip, Edward and Joseph C. Exposito; and two sisters, Eula Exposito Domangue and Leona Exposito Stephan.
She was a retired bookkeeper for Chauvin Brothers and an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary of Chauvin.
