Louis Cyprien Chaisson, 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, 2006.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be Thursday at the church, with burial in Bisland Cemetery. .
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Clodilia Billiot Chaisson of Houma; four sons, Louis Chaisson Jr. and wife, Debra, Kirby Chaisson Sr. and wife, Roxanne, Curtis Chaisson and Ricky Chaisson Sr. and wife, Effie; one daughter, Virginia Voisin and husband, Randy; one brother, Theo Chaisson; one sister, Rita Chaisson; 16 grandchildren, Scooter Chaisson and wife, Lynn, Tracie Authement and husband, Jason, Randy Voisin Jr. and wife, Erica, Michael, Jason and Dylan Voisin, Shannon Eschete and husband, Chad, Melissa Pellegrin and husband, Lance, Kirby Chaisson Jr. and wife, Danielle, Sally Hidalgo and husband, Brad, Crystal Chaisson, Brittany Parfait, Samantha Chaisson, Ricky Chaisson Jr., Scottie Chaisson and fiance, Dana, and Dusty Chaisson; 17 great-grandchildren, Candace and Hunter Chaisson, Hannah Chaisson, Kiera Maxine Authement, Brylan and Leezah Authement, Taegan Voisin, Paulina Voisin, Kyra Stoot Hebert, Caleb and Lindsey Billiot, Lance Pellegrin Jr., Laci, T-Brad and Megan Hidalgo, and Branson and Claire Chaisson; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Chaisson and Augusta Dardar Chaisson; four brothers, Frank, Gracien, Harvey and Johnny Chaisson; two sisters, Lucille Billiot and Landa Cotton; and two great-grandchildren, Randii Voisin and Dawson Voisin.
He was a self-employed welder.
He was a beloved and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and godfather to all. He will be truly and sadly missed by his family and friends.
