Marie Louise Braud Bourg, 82, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by one son, Francis O. Bourg III of Houma; one daughter, Debra B. Chauvin and husband, Dean Chauvin Sr. of Houma; one sister, Florence Breaux of Houma; and two grandchildren, Charles Claudet III and Dr. Dean Chauvin Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis O. Bourg Jr.; her parents, Edward Braud and Helen Boudreaux Braud; one daughter, Brenda B. Claudet; one grandson, Renee Francis Claudet; five brothers, Freddie Braud, Lawrence Braud, Edward Braud Jr., Millard "Bill" Braud and Frank Braud; and two sisters, Ena Hebert and Cecil "Hazel" Eschete.
She was a registered nurse and house supervisor at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Elks Lodge and American Nurses Association. As a resident of the Suites at Sugar Mill Point, she loved and adored the other tenants immensely. She cherished each and every caregiver there as her benevolent family.
She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
