Geneva "Nell" Champagne Bourg, 75, a native of Waterproof and resident of Theriot, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2006.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at St. Eloi Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one foster son, Nolan Darcey and wife, Cathy, of Theriot; one foster daughter, Gloria Mae Darcey of Houma; one stepdaughter, Judith Pellegrin of Grand Caillou; three brothers, E.J. Theriot and wife, Renda, of Houma, Roland Theriot and wife, Maxine, of Theriot and Clayton "Paco" Theriot and wife, Jeri, of Houma; two sisters, Gladys Christopher of Batesville, Ark., and Gloria Verrett of Theriot; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Abbie Bourg; her parents, Nital Champagne and Genevia Crochet Theriot; two granddaughters, Dawn Marie Darcey and Susan Pellegrin; and two brothers, Alfred "Pete" Theriot and Dale Theriot.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knight of Columbus and the VFW.
She was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
