Maurice Joseph Boudreaux Sr., 85, a native of Ashland and resident of Houma, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Maurice "Moe" Joseph Boudreaux Jr. and wife, Mollie, of Houma; two daughters, Barbara Boudreaux Dufrene and husband, Fred Anthony Dufrene, and Lou Annie Boudreaux Millet and husband, Herbert Millet, of Houma; seven brothers, Edward "E.B." Boudreaux of Houma, Ivy Boudreaux, Ernest Boudreaux, Eddie Boudreaux Jr., Larry Boudreaux, Gilbert Boudreaux and Wilbert Boudreaux; nine sisters, Delores Trosclair, Betty Dauzat, Gloria Duplantis, Jeannette Aucoin, Nettie Burton, Lillian Voisin, Edna Boudreaux, Lisa Deese and Victoria Guidry; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lirette Boudreaux; his father and stepmother, Eddie Boudreaux and Marie Boudreaux; his mother and stepfather, Marie LeBouef Fazzio and Victor Fazzio; one sister, Ira Boudreaux; and one grandchild.
He was a self-employed trawler and owner of Supreme Donuts. He was a former deputy, city marshal and a tug-boat captain.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post No. 31.
He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
