Carroll "Carou" Joseph Bergeron

Carroll "Carou" Joseph Bergeron, 69, a native of Houma and resident of Bourg, died at 12:51 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Roslyn Guidry Bergeron of Bourg; two sons, Aaron Bergeron and wife, Debbie, of Florence, S.C., and Jason Bergeron and wife, Jill, of Houma; three daughters, Jodie Shappley and husband, Lee, of Starkville, Miss., Lydia Babin and husband, Bert, of Houma, and Kristi Madison and husband, Joey, of Katy, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Duane, Shanna, Sean, Jessica, Kristen, Chase, Paige, Jordan, Cullen and Chloe; and two great-grandchildren, Troy and Amber. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie Alexander Bergeron and Georgia Walker Bergeron; one brother, Terry J. Bergeron; and one sister, Shirley Bergeron. He was a dispatcher with B.J. Services and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a member of the 1958 national championship team of LSU Chinese Bandits.
