Leroy Joseph Scott Jr., 56, a native and resident of Houma, died at 3 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by three brothers, Karey Scott and wife, Jennifer, of Bourg, Derrell Scott and wife, Gayle, of Houma and Chris Scott and wife, Laverne, of Missouri City, Texas; three sisters, Carlotta Matherne and husband, Curry Sr., of Bourg, Madenna Voisin and husband, Kenneth, of Theriot and Jan Brunet and husband, Timmy, of Houma; and numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Joseph Scott Sr. and Walterine Rita White Scott; and his grandparents, Freddie and Augustine Scott and Linton Sr. and Lillian White. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to START Corp. for Mentally Handicapped in Houma, 420 Magnolia St., Houma, LA 70360.
