Jerome Michael Ellender,M.D.

Jerome Michael Ellender, M.D., 50, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, June Vincent Ellender of Houma; one son, Barret Michael Ellender of Houma; one daughter, Katie Scarlett Ellender of Houma; four brothers, Dr. Rudolph D. Ellender Jr. of Hattiesburg, Miss., Louis J. Ellender of Prescott, Ariz.; Gary C. Ellender of Baton Rouge and Dr. Kirk G. Ellender of Houma; and three sisters, Mary Ellender Gudgell of Destrehan, Denise Ellender Pellegrin of Thibodaux and Melanie Ellender Babin of Houma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph D. Ellender Sr. and Alma LeBlanc Ellender. He was a pulmonologist for 19 years. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
