Richard "Richie" Joseph Liner Jr., 31, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his father, Richard "Dickie" J. Liner Sr. of Houma; his mother, Terri Percle St. Peter of Houma; his grandmother, Theresa G. Percle of Houma; one brother, Joshua Liner of Houma; and one sister, Ashley Liner of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alcide J. and Hazel C. Liner and Melvin A. Percle.
He was a flooring installer and a valve technician for Wood Group/PSI
He was a member of the National Guard and was a 1993 graduate of Terrebonne High School. He has a large loving family and will be dearly missed by all his uncles, aunts and cousins whom he loved very much. All of his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing with all his family at the Liner Camp. He had become an avid golfer over the past years and enjoyed playing with his life-long friends. Those close to him knew him as a very loyal, caring and very giving friend. His generous, loving and child-like spirit always drew the young children to him and he was happiest when playing and being with the children of family and friends. Richie’s faith was Catholic/Christian and he was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
