Eva Lirette Ratcliff

Eva Lirette Ratcliff, 73, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, James E. Ratcliff of Houma; two sons, Bobby J. Ratcliff and wife, Patty, and Johnny W. Ratcliff and wife, Debra, of Houma; two daughters, Billie R. LeBlanc and husband, Michael, of Bourg, and Betty R. Babin and husband, Leroy, of Houma; two sisters, Jeannette Engeron of Albany, Ga., and Rita Dunn of Houma; eight grandchildren, Dayla Buquet, Lee Babin, Kelli Naquin, Misty Richard, Bobby Ratcliff II, Jake Ratcliff, Brad Ratcliff and Dylan Ratcliff; five great-grandchildren, Gennia Buquet, Shawn Buquet, Hayden Buquet, Bryce Richard and Blayse Ratcliff; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile Joseph Lirette and Lorenza Guise Lirette; six brothers, Levis, Leon, Milton, Emile Jr., Jimmy and Ernest Lirette; and five sisters, Irene Lombag, Ester Bates, Urilda Lirette, Rose Lirette and Darlene Lirette. She was a homemaker and was vice-president of East Park Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Veteran League. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
