Alan Eugene DeHabermann, 52, a native of Woodville, Texas, and resident of Houma, died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kella Breaux DeHabermann of Houma; one daughter, Stephanie DeHabermann of Las Vegas; three sisters, Patricia LeCompte and husband, Stephen, of Dularge, Billie Dugas and husband, Seven, and Norma Broussard and husband, Robert, in New Iberia; one brother-in-law, Jeffrey Soudelier Sr.; one sister-in-law, Deborah P. Soudelier of Houma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene E. and Virginia L. Broadway DeHabermann; one sister, Mary Effie Taylor; his parents-in-law, Howard Sr. and Louise Chouest Breaux; one brother-in-law, Howard Breaux Jr.; and one niece, Jamie Lee Taylor.
He was an engineer for Avondale Shipyard, a member of the Living Word Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.
