Roy A. Doucet, 76, a native of Cut Off and resident of Houma, died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home, with burial at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Brunet Doucet of Houma; one son, Garret Doucet and his wife, Claire, of Luling; three daughters, Karlene Boudreaux and her husband, Glynn, Lisa Robichaux and Dawn Doucet of Houma; two brothers, Antoine Doucet and his wife, Mildred, of Westwego and Jimmy Doucet and his wife, Mildred, of Cut Off; seven grandchildren, Sa Sha Robichaux, Brandi Boudreaux, David Boudreaux, Joshua Doucet, Jade Doucet, Jordan Doucet and Brittnay Hitt and three great-grandchildren, Kaylea Robichaux, Alley Doucet and Hailey Doucet.
He was preceded in death his parents, Edville Doucet and Sedonia Vegas Doucet; four brothers, Sweetsay Doucet, Eads Doucet, Mike Doucet (twin) and Harris Doucet and three sisters, Loretta Doucet Danos, Viola Beula Doucet Kiffe and Jeanne Doucet Kiffe.
He was a retired carpenter, a Catholic and member of the Knights of Columbus in the first degree.
