J.C. Paul Griffin, 68, a native of Cocodrie and resident of Houma, died at 11:01 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Pitre Griffin of Houma; one daughter, Lisa Takewell and husband, Doug Takewell, of Houma; four brothers, Anthony Griffin of Grand Caillou, David Griffin, Daniel Griffin and Ricky Griffin of Houma; four sisters, Velma LeBlanc of Baton Rouge, Paula Duplantis of Houma, Brenda Griffin of Thibodaux and Anna G. Rushing of Mendenhall, Miss.; six grandchildren, Molly Griffin, Courtney Hutcherson, Ryan Hutcherson, Emily Griffin, Jared Takewell and Jessica Takewell; and one great-grandchild, Zoe Labit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Joseph Griffin and Odessa Trosclair Griffin; one son, Chris T. Griffin; one son-in-law, Rodney Hutcherson; one brother, Steve Griffin; and four sisters, Mary Jane Thibodaux, Rita Picou, Bessie Daily and Carmen Belanger.
He was a retired self-employed business owner and was a past employee of Chromalloy for 25 years.
