Mary Alida Tyrone David, 79, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma died onOctober 4,2006 Visitation will be from 5:00p.m.till 8:00p.m.on Friday October 6,2006 at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday October 7,2006 at the Church. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by nine children and their spouses, Mary Alinda Vaughn and husband John Sr. of Nicholasville, KY, Patricia Anne Stuart and husband Mark of Auburn, WA, Brenda Catherine Blanchard and husband Barry of Baton Rouge, Edward Marceline David III and wife Valerie of Layton, UT, Carole Camille Jordan of Thibodaux, William Guedry (Billy) David and wife Susan of Houma, Diane Dorothy Mandina and husband Ernest of Houma, Debra Louise Ramke and husband Steven of Prairieville, and Marie Blanche Moran and husband Ricky of Luling; one sister Barbara Tyrone Glass and husband Samuel of Slidell; and one brother Dr. Victor Young Tyrone Jr. and wife Walta of Winter Park, FL. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, John Jr. and James Vaughn, Caryn Benjamin, Meghan and Aaron Cansler, Alex David, David Jordan, Jenny David, Candice Dantin and husband Ryan, Gregory and Katie Mandina, Steven Jr., Matthew, Jacob, and Patrick Ramke, Krista and Lauren Neal, Zachary Moran, Barry Blanchard Jr. and wife Esparonza, Wendell Bonvillian and wife Stephanie, Joey Bonvillian, Roxanne and Tammy Mandina, Melissa and Lynzey Moran and 7 great-grandchildren John Vaughn III, Paige Dantin, Raquel Blanchard, Mckayla and Gabriella Mandina, and Annastasia and Gabriella Bonvillian. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Edward Marceline David Jr., her parents Victor Young and Alida Guedry Tyrone, a son Charles Milton David, and a grandson Jeffrey Wilson Vaughn. She was a member of Annunziata Catholic Church, the Ladies Altar Society, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Canecutters Quilting Club. She was employed by Chabert Medical Center and Houma Medical Center and volunteered at Terrebonne General Medical Center and Southdown Plantation Museum. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law.
