Marjorie Lee Allen Kennedy, 68, a native of Owensboro, Ky., and resident of Houma, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in West Lawn Cemetery in Gretna.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel R. Kennedy Jr. of Houma; one son, Danny Allen Kennedy and wife, Helen, of Houma; two daughters, Dannette Marie Kennedy of Houma and Terri Ann Kennedy Charpentier and husband, Derrick, of Houma; one brother, Leon Ray Allen of Owensboro; three sisters, Mildred Scott, Mary Jane Bowls of Owensboro and Beverly Ann Marsh of Jacksonville, Fla; and six grandchildren, Clay "C.J." Joseph Naquin Jr., Garett Paul and Laura Kelli Charpentier, Scottie Brien, Brittany and Alexis Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enos Ray Allen and Edna Mae Pendleton Allen; and one son, Kelly Rodrick Kennedy.
She was an instructor at T.A.R.C. for 30 years and was a past member of the Bourg Lions Ladies Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to T.A.R.C. and the American Cancer Society.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
