Frederick "Fred" Joseph Dazee, 88, a native of Napoleon-ville and resident of Houma, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Arcement Dazee of Labadieville and resident of Houma; one son, Dale John Dazee and companion, Debbie Luke, of Houma; two daughters, Marie Phipps and husband, Grover "J.R." Phipps, and Ray Ann Dufour and husband, Lester Dufour, all of Houma; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Dazee, of Houma; eight grandchildren, Tina Grabert, Tracy Walker, Rachel Bonvillain, Aaron Dazee, Brandon Luke, Kelly DeLozier, Barrett Dazee and Courtney Dazee; 11 great-grandchildren, Cassie and Creed Walker, Trey and Taylor Bonvillain, Victoria and Aidan DeLozier, Zoe Luke, A.J. and Lyle A.J. Dazee, Lee Lena Jr. and Hailie Dazee; two sisters, Winona Guidry and Albion Guidry; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Patrick "Pat" Joseph Dazee; his father, Joseph Dazee; his mother, Mathjilde Delaune; and one brother, Lawton Dazee.
He was retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a veteran of World War II.
He was a parishioner of Annunizata Catholic Church.
