Charles Carlos

Charles Edmond Carlos, age 78, a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Luling, LA for 53 years, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 6:00 am. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha Matherne Carlos; a daughter, Kathleen Huff of Tyler, Texas; two sons: Timothy and his wife, Lisa of Luling, LA and Jay and his wife, Nancy of Luling, LA; three sisters: Mabel Carlos Harrell of Harahan, LA, Helen Carlos Whipple of Houma, LA and Beulah Carlos Dollar of Peachtree City, Georgia; and two brothers: Julius Carlos of Schriever, LA and Leo Carlos of Houma, LA. Also survived by seven grandchildren: Michelle Mayeux, Matthew Huff, Jon Carlos, Ashleigh Carlos, Courtney Carlos, Dana Carlos and Lauren Carlos. He was preceeded in death by his parents, John Herbert Carlos and Bernadette Bergeron Carlos; and one brother, Herbert Carlos. He worked for Monsanto Chemical Company and retired after 30 years of service. He is a U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation will begin at 8:00am and will be followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Saturday, August 26th at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, LA. Interment at St. Francis DeSales II in Houma, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Louisiana Chapter, 3636 South I-10 Service Road, Suite 304, Metairie, LA 70001. Mass intentions would also be appreciated.
