Charles Edmond Carlos, age 78, a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Luling, LA for 53 years, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 6:00 am. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha Matherne Carlos; a daughter, Kathleen Huff of Tyler, Texas; two sons: Timothy and his wife, Lisa of Luling, LA and Jay and his wife, Nancy of Luling, LA; three sisters: Mabel Carlos Harrell of Harahan, LA, Helen Carlos Whipple of Houma, LA and Beulah Carlos Dollar of Peachtree City, Georgia; and two brothers: Julius Carlos of Schriever, LA and Leo Carlos of Houma, LA. Also survived by seven grandchildren: Michelle Mayeux, Matthew Huff, Jon Carlos, Ashleigh Carlos, Courtney Carlos, Dana Carlos and Lauren Carlos. He was preceeded in death by his parents, John Herbert Carlos and Bernadette Bergeron Carlos; and one brother, Herbert Carlos. He worked for Monsanto Chemical Company and retired after 30 years of service. He is a U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation will begin at 8:00am and will be followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Saturday, August 26th at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, LA. Interment at St. Francis DeSales II in Houma, LA.
