Goldie Jennie Royal

Goldie Jennie Carter Royal, 57, a native of Newton, N.J., and resident of Houma, died at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006. A private memorial service will be held at a later date and time. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy L. Authement and husband, David, of Houma; five brothers, James Roy Conklin of Spartenburg, S.C., Keith Allen Conklin of Pacolet Mills, S.C., Clifford B. Carter of Spartenburg, S.C., Patrick Jerry Carter of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Ed Gouger of Okeechobee, Fla.; and one grandchild, Melissa Anne Authement and husband, Myle, of Montegut. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Yates; her parents, Clifford B. Carter Sr. and Mary Smith Carter; and one brother, Eddie Gouger. She was a homemaker.
