Lucille Toups Rhodes, 81, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by three daughters, Lynell Harris of Houston, Frances Guidroz of Houma and Joan Belcher of Luling; two brothers, Carl Toups of Luling, and Donald Toups of Mandeville; one sister, Evelyn Toups Comeaux of Opelousas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley James Rhodes; her parents, Sylvester Toups and Lydia Legendre Toups; and one sister, Yvonne Toups Uzee.
She was a retired teacher with Terrebonne Parish School Board and was a past member of the Lions Club and a past member of Southdown Plantation.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
