Rita Mae Arceneaux Blanchard, 78, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 5:53 AM.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Anthony
Of Paduah Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Paduah Catholic Church with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Blanchard; sons, Wayne Blanchard and wife Cindy of Houma;
daughters, Carleen Veronie of Houma; brothers, Donald Arceneaux, L.J. Arceneaux and Dale Arceneaux of Houma
and Kenneth Arceneaux of Schriever; sisters, Catherine LeBoeuf of Houma, Earline Hebert of Bayou Black and Gail Pontiff of Winnfield, Louisiana;
3 grandchildren, Ricky Lirette, Becki Badeaux and Scott Blanchard and 3 great-grandchildren, Dorian Lirette, Seth Lirette and Parker Badeaux.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Gladys Trahan Arceneaux and sister, Ann Crochet.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Paduah Catholic Church.
She was a cancer survivor and attended Camp Blue Bird, a member of the Silver Sneakers, she sang in the choir at St. Anthony of Paduah Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Alter Society.
