John “BB” LeBlanc, age 76, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was a resident of Schriever.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at in Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, October 7, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
John is survived by his nephews, Rickey Gros and wife Ginnie, Mike Jones and wife Carolyn, Charles Gros, and Steven Gros; nieces, Carol Ann Landry and husband Danny, Brenda Allemand and husband Dennis, Debra Jones; John is also survived by a host of great-nieces, nephews and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Joh and Irene Davis LeBlanc; sisters, Dorothy Gros and Delores Jones; niece, Vicky Gros.
John was a loving and kind man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed the presence of his niece and nephews and saw them as his own children. John was employed at Shiftships as a shipfitter until his retirement. John was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting.
