Marie Louise Cenac, 94, a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana and a long-time resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Visitiation will be on Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church at 11:00 a.m. with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. She is survived by tw sons, Ernest "Butch" Cenac and wife Diane, and Richard Joseph Cenac; one daughter, Jeannie Cenac Gueniot and husband Louis; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Rene' Joseph Clement and Mable Malbrough Clement; two brothers, Warren and Renol Clement; three sisters, Marian Clement Witt; Dorothea "Dottie" Clement and Claudia Clement Bauland; her husband Ernest Albert "Mannie" Cenac, Sr.' one daughter, Cecil Cenac Broussard and one grandson, Richard "Ricky" Cenac, Jr. Marie was a person who loved life and being with people. She was a happy, positive, loving and giving individual as a mother, grandmother, and citizen. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society in various local churches, and for several years, a volunteer with the Terrebonne Hospital Auxiliary. Outside of her extended family, Marie's greatest pleasure over the last few years was spent as a Docent for the Terrebonne Historical and Culural Society at Southdown Museum. The family would like to express their appreciation to Tanya Verret for her ongoing love, care and support and to H.L. Haydel Memorial Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to National Marfan Foundation and Terrebonne Historical and Cultural Society would be appreciated.
