Malvina J. Bourg Bourg, 74, a native of Grand Caillou, LA and a resident of Prarieville, LA died Sunday, January 17, 2010.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on
Friday, January 22, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church
with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
She is survived by her
son, Faron J. Bourg and wife Shelia of Gray, LA; daughters, Laurel Bourg Kitto and husband Eric of Prairieville, LA, Merril Bourg Benes and husband Cary of Laguna Niguel, California;
grandchildren, Daniel W. Bourg and wife Celeste, Jinie R. Bourg and companion Dwayne Antoine, Victoria Bourg, John E. Kitto, Ben J. Kitto, Matthew A. Kitto, Jessica J. Benes; step grandchildren, Richie Schoen, Candice Hoff Parker and husband Steven and great grandchildren, Dalen and Demi Bourg, Mason Bourg, Dwayne J. and Dayjah Antoine and brothers, Oscar J. Bourg and wife Lula Mae White Bourg, Wilson A. Bourg.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Felix J. Bourg and Eva Pellegrin Bourg; grandchild, Dallas J. Bourg and companion Tammy Lantie and former daughter in law, Esperanza Rel Bourg;
brother, Hanson J. Bourg; and
sister, Margaret B. Boudreaux.
She was a seamstress.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
In her retirement she was an avid reader, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a die hard Saints fan.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend to many.
She was an inspiration and encourager to many of her friends and family.
She was a professional seamstress for numerous Mardi Gras organizations, weddings, Houma's Elvis impersonator and numerous other organizations.
She will be remembered for her kind heart family gatherings and great cooking.
