Johnny Fabregas

Johnny Joseph Fabregas, Jr, 83, a native and resident of Houma, LA died on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 11:25 AM. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 from 9:00 AM until Service Time Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1. He is survived by his loving daughter, Sharon Fabregas Zeringue and husband Clifton Zeringue, Jr.; 4 Grandchildren, Jeremey Zeringue; Joshua Zeringue and wife Lacy Rivere Zeringue; Hollie Fabregas Scott and husband Bobby Scott; and Shaun Fabregas; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Brooke Pellegrin; Brennan Scott; Ava Norman; Talan Fabregas; and a great-grandchild due in April. He is also survived by a special friend, Mrs. Hazel Chauvin Burst. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Daigle Fabregas; parents, Johnny Joseph Fabregas, Sr. and Lucille Daigle Fabregas; and sister, Gertrude Waguespack. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral Fireman. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends on a daily basis. In his eighty-three years, he never met a stranger, for his door was always open to anyone. In addition, he selflessly enjoyed cooking for others at his own expense for the mere pleasure of watching the enjoyment of his food by others. He often enjoyed spending time with his grandsons at the local casinos and attending seafood boils in Pierre Part. He will be greatly missed by the family and friends he leaves behind.
