Rita Walterine Parfait Verdin, 72, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Monday, November 30, 2009 from at Holy Family Catholic Church from 8:00 a.m. until service time. a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Pierre and husband Ernest, Darlene “Dee” (Gerald Naquin, Sr.) Naquin; sons, Paul J. Verdin, Jr. and wife Gracie, Richard Verdin, Perry Verdin and wife Dianna; sisters, Marie P. Verdin, Ernestine P. (Kirvin) Parfait, Josephine P. Billiot, Annie Mae Parfait, Sarah P. Foret; brothers, Linus Parfait, Varnis (Joyce) Parfait, Cyrus (Mildred) Parfait, John (Jean) Parfait; grandchildren, 12 Melanie (Troy, Sr.) Foret, Kevin (Leslie) Pierre, Jackie (Pat) Sapia, Marilyn (Loulou) Billiot, Gerald, Jr. (Shannon) Naquin, Stacie (Toby) Gautreaux, Stephanie Verdin, Jason Verdin, Kylie Verdin, Janie (Travis) Chauvin, Riki Verdin, Steven Verdin; great grandchildren, Linzey and Troy Foret, Jr., Kelsey and Gavin Pierre, Jasmine, Logan and Dakota Sapia, Stephen Billiot, Grady and Emily Naquin, Shea, Rhett and Tyler Gautreaux, Kalum Verdin, Dalton Bergeron and Ibanez Cortez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Verdin, Sr.; parents, Joseph Parfait and Edna Trosclair Parfait. She was a Homemaker. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering. She loved all her grandchildren. She was a Saints fan.
