Joyce Marie Thibodaux Marcel, 77, a native of Donner, Louisiana and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died November 17, 2009. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for the Dehart Family and from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. for Marcel Thibodaux Family and Friends at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Monday, November 23, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. She is survived by her children, Earline Chatagnier and husband Recardo of Houma, Sandra Buquet, Nell Davis and Fiance’, Pete Treece of Houma, Beverly Marcel and companion Chuck Trahan of Houma, Cathy Guidry and husband Marc Guidry of Houma, sisters: Heloise Dubois and husband Nolan of Houma, Shirley Theriot of Houma, Loucille Chaisson of Houma, Barbara Breaux and husband Gerald “Buzz” of Lockport, Gail Legendre and husband Raymond of Chackbay, brother, Walter Thibodaux, Sr., and wife Shirley of Chackbay; Seven grandchildren, Lana Falcon and husband Eric, Donnie Chatagnier and wife Katie, Abby Buquet, Amanda Ekiss and husband Scott, Keith “Keke” Boudreaux, Jr., Lynn Freeman and Fiance’ Reva Benoit, Aimee’ Guidry; five great grandchildren, Bethany and Dustin Ekiss, Kailiee, Karlie and Kylie Chatagnier, and companion, Anthony Dehart. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Marcel, parents, Levy Thibodaux, Sr., and Lillian Zeringue Thibodaux, son, Raymond Marcel, granddaughter, Buffy Buquet, son-in-law, Harry Buquet, Jr., and Dusty Davis, brothers, Lloyd Thibodaux and wife Rita Thibodaux and Levy “Sonny” Thibodaux, Jr. and wifeYvonne Thibodaux. Joyce, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, wife and friend. She was a very strong willed and good hearted woman. She loved playing bingo and going to casinos. She was loved and will be missed by many!
