Gertrude Mary Scott, 85, a native of Chauvin,LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 8:30 AM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Alvin Anthony Scott, Jr and wife Janice; daughter, Enola Scott Fanguy and husband Adam; daughter, Verna Scott Layne and husband Steve; daughter, Alisa Scott Frederick and husband Jonah; half sister, Mary Brown; grandchildren, Ernie Scott, Jamie Scott, Dodie Scott, Hope LeBoeuf, Shana Phillips, Yancy Bourg, Holly Trosclair, Stephen Fanguy, Victoria Layne and Adrianna Frederick; 20 Great Grandchildren; 1 step-great grandchild and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Anthony Scott, Sr; parents, Davidson Kieff and Enola Chauvin Kieff; brother, Julius Kieff; sister, Verna Kieff and great grandson, Trevor James Trosclair. She was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
