Gloria Brewer

Gloria Tregre Brewer, 61, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died November 5, 2009. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 9, 2009 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until service time A Mass of Christian burial, Monday, November 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial at St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. She is survived by, husband, George E. Brewer; sons, Ted Brewer and wife Kelly of Houma Brad Brewer and wife Mindy of Houma; daughter, Patricia Ragsdale and husband Robert of Bay City, Texas; six grandchildren, Chad Henderson and Cole Ragsdale, Morgan Zachary Mason and Isabella Brewer; mother, Gloria Benoit Tregre; sister, Gwenette Thomas and husband Daniel of Hollywood, Maryland; brother, Woodrow “Woody” Tregre and wife Yvonne of Houma Carl Tregre and wife Ann of Houma Charles Tregre of Prairieville Terry Tregre and wife Barbara of Prairieville; sister-in-law, Diane H. Tregre of California; godchildren, Terry Tregre, Bruce Thomas, Jeremy Benoit, Gia Champagne, Conner Tregre, Joey Tregre and Alexa Tregre. She is preceded in death by her father, Woodrow “Joe” Tregre and brother, Warren Tregre. She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was an organ donor and benefited four lives from her donation. She was a Notary Public and co owner of Brewer Wholesale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
