Silas Pellegrin

Silas Simon Pellegrin, Sr, 71 a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and a resident of Chauvin, LA died Thursday, October 29, 2009. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 9:00 AM until Funeral time St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. He is survived by his wife beloved wife of 54 years Barbara Fanguy Pellegrin of Chauvin, LA; son, Silas Simon Pellegrin, Jr and wife Pamela F. Pellegrin of Carencro; daughters, Cindy Pellegrin Stoufflet and the late Bobby Stoufflet of Chauvin, Sandra Pellegrin Savoie and husband Kenny Savoie of Houma, brothers, Steven Pellegrin and wife Berthamae Robichaux Pellegrin of Chauvin and Ronald Pellegrin of Chauvin; sister, Gloria Pellegrin Babin and husband Milton Babin of Chauvin; step brother, Edward "T-Ed" Adams; step sister, Vivian Adams Prejean; grandchildren, Robert Stoufflet, Pearl Stoufflet, Simon Paul Pellegrin, Paige Pellegrin, Heather Savoie and Kollin Mernard and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father: Sy Pellegrin; mother, Edia Neil Pellegrin Adams and step father Edward Adams; sister, Betty Pellegrin; half brother, Gelpi Pellegrin; step brothers, Milton and Norman Adams. He is Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was employed for 55 years at LeBoeuf Brothers Towing Company. He was a tug boat captain.
