Frank Calandro, Sr., 94, a native of Vicari, Sicily and a native of Mandeville, Louisiana, died October 1, 2009.
Visitation will be held on
Monday, October 5, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home.
Services will be held October 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.
He is survived by,
son, Frank L. Calandro, Jr., and wife Bobbiek of Mandeville, Louisiana;
daughter, Kathryn E. Inglet of Cyrpress, Texas;
brother, Sam Calandro of Baton Rouge, Louisiana;
sisters, Camille Spitale, Catherine Hoffmann and
Rosalie Crawford;
grandchildren, Lydia E. Elich, Christopher E. Calandro and Donald G. Inglet, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Jack and Sophia Elich ; and Jaeger Inglet.
Preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Hargrove Calandro;
parents, Catarina Orlando Calandro and Santo Calandro;
brothers, Joe, Vick, Tony and Brazil Calandro;
sister, Mary Inzenga and
son-in-law, Donald G. Inglet, Sr.
He was a graduate of LSU, served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Belgium and Germany, retired from La. State Employment Service where he served as Manager in
Houma, Louisiana in 1981. He was active in the Louisiana Heart Association, Lions Club and many other civic organizations in Houma.
Family and Friends are invited to attend the funeral.
