Nauly John Blanchard, 83, a native of Chauvin, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, Louisiana died September 13, 2009. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 From 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Military Service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. He is survived by, sons, Victor Blanchard and wife Ruby of Houston, TX; Rodney Blanchard and wife Connee of Tucson, AZ; and Karl Blanchard of Houma; daughter, Jana DeCol and husband Daniel of Houma, LA; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Duplantis of 60 years; parents, Honore Blanchard and Elvire Theriot Blanchard; daughter, Lane Dorsey; brothers, Clodomire “Drauzin” Blanchard, Preston Blanchard, Milton “Mean” Blanchard and Norris Blanchard; sister, Lelia “Lillian” Trahan; grandson, Sgt. Dustin D. DeCol. He was a retired Body Shop Manager for Porche Motor Company. He was the kindest, most gentle man you have ever known. He was the most devoted husband, father and grandfather ever.
