Elizabeth Portier Anselmi, 73, a native and resident of Houma, LA, died Thursday, September 10, 2009. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 9:00 AM until Service time St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. A Mass of Chrisitian burial will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery. She is survived by her sisters, Maybelle Portier Antill, Marion Portier Wunstell, Alice Portier Duplantis, and Margaret Portier Pellegrin; brothers, Jerry Portier, Daniel Portier, and Phillip Portier; step-daughter, Elaine Anselmi Rivere and husband Hansel; step-grandchildren, Melissa Hebert Delaune and husband Phillip, Tommy Hebert, Scott W. Rivere, Hansel Rivere, Jr and wife Michelle; step-great grandchildren, Chance Delaune, Chase Hebert, Dylan Hebert, Justin Rivere and Garrett Rivere. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gibson "T-Gib" Anselmi; parents, Leonce Portier, Sr and Haydee Jarveaux Portier; brothers, Leonce Portier, Jr; Donald Portier, Charles Portier, Sr; and Fay Portier, Sr; step-grandchild, Brent Paul Rivere. She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
