Carl Melancon

Carl Melancon, 67, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died of a heart attack at 9:06 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma. Mass will be 11 a.m. at the church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Breaux Melancon; two sons, Keegan Domangue and wife, Amy and Kevin Quick and wife, Christy; two brothers, Cecil Melancon of Thibodaux and Garland Melancon of Houston; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron, Taylor and Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ursin and Juliette Melancon. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. His hobbies included reading the newspaper and cutting the grass. He was retired from Delta Ironworks.
