Elsie Brunet

Elsie Marie Sevin Brunet, 69, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, LA passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 5:25AM. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and resume on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at St. Bridget Catholic Church from 9:00AM until Mass time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00AM with burial to follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.   Elsie is survived by her husband, Acklin F. Brunet; children, Cathy Brunet Verret and husband Johnny, David Brunet, Donna Brunet Duplechin and husband Corey, Jania S. Mixon, Bryan Brunet and wife Tabitha and Michael Brunet and wife Courtney; sister, Olynda LeBoeuf; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous neices, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sevin and Effie LeBoeuf Sevin; and brothers, Aaron Sevin, Percy Sevin, John “Sheldon” Sevin, Ernest Sevin and Ephie “Buster” Sevin.
